Lambswool is a soft, soothing surface for babies and has been used in in the nursery for centuries. It is used in preemie nurseries to encourage rapid growth and development. Babies may be placed directly on the wool, following the "back to sleep" principle, or the wool may be covered with a sheet. Does the infant car seat cover fit any car seat? TOP
Yes the SnuggleWool infant car seat cover fits both the rear facing and the forward facing seats for children on most ages. The pictures in the car seat section are of the same size cover.
Just wanted to let you know that I got the cover and got the cuts made just right for our seat [Marathon]. The pencil marks helped a great deal! In case knowing our adjustments might be useful if you get other inquiries about the Britax seats, the cut I made on the bottom, where the buckle is, was just about an inch lower than where the mark was, and the vertical cut for the shoulder straps was about an inch higher for the seat's tallest setting. If we have another baby and use the seat on the smallest settings, I'll have to make the vertical cut about twice as long as the pencil marks were. Thanks so much for your help!

How do I clean SnuggleWool™ products? TOP
All SnuggleWool products are packed with washing instructions. All items may be machine washed on a gentle cycle in cool water with a mild detergent or the Kookaburra Woolwash
offered here. They may also be fluffed up in the dryer on an air setting and then allowed to air dry. Lambswool is a naturally disinfecting fiber so heat is not needed for disinfection. It also resists the development of bacteria and dust mites. Do you ship to a second address or to Canada? TOP
We do ship to Canada and other countries with an adjustment in shipping charges to reflect the additional cost. If you wish to have an item sent as a gift to another address, just notify us of the correct shipping address. Is wool bedding appropriate for summer? TOP
SnuggleWool products are useful year round. Lambswool is warm in winter. In summer it is cool due to its ability to absorb moisture and not feel wet/damp and because it allows air to circulate around the body. Is SnuggleWool™ available with a cotton backing/foundation? TOP
We do not have a source for lambswool fleece with a cotton backing. Lambswool fleece with a cotton backing requires dry cleaning. This does not seem like a good alternative for SnuggleWool™ and MediWool™ products. What chemicals are used in manufacturing? TOP
Specific chemicals are not identified from the manufacturer of the wool fabric. However, the wool knitter has provided evidence that indicates the lambswool fabric "does not contain any hazardous ingredients." While the wool comes from Australia and New Zealand, it is not known if the lambs were grown organically. How are the MediWool™ wheelchair and crutch items attached? TOP
The wheelchair armrest covers and the crutch covers are attached with hook and loop tape. What holds the bed pads in place? TOP
The bassinet, cradle and crib pads have elastic bands than go under the ends of the mattress. All other mattress pads have elastic corner straps. Does the SnuggleWool feel like a lambskin? TOP
The Snuggle Wool looks and feels like a lambskin that has been clipped to a one inch length. Since it is Merino wool, a very fine wool, it is softer than some lamb or sheepskins. What is the difference between SnuggleWool™ and MediWool™? TOP
Both products are made from the same wool but are made for different users. My SnuggleWool has shed a lot of wool. Did I do something wrong? TOP
SnuggleWool™ products will shed when you take them out of the package and through the first few washings until all the loose fibers are removed. You may find it helpful to brush with a pet brush or vacuum the loose fibers at first. After some use and a few washings the fibers will cling to each other. Will the loose fibers harm my baby? TOP
Remove as many as you can at the beginning then use the SnuggleWool™ in confidence. Wool fibers are natural and will not harm your baby. My blanket isn't fluffy anymore. It looks matted. Is this normal? TOP
Wool fibers look like hairs with overlapping scales. The scales, when heated or agitated, tend to stick together and give the appearance known as sherpa.
The ability to retain 30% of its weight in moisture vapors remains, as well as the insulation and soothing comfort from the cushioning. This fiber structure and moisture retaining ability contribute to the wool's flame resistance. Unlike synthetics, which can cause serious melt burns, wool is difficult to ignite and merely chars and does not melt.

To retain the fluffy appearance, it may be necessary to brush your SnuggleWool with a pet brush known as a slicker brush. Recently, one of our customers stated, "I was extremely skeptical [about the brushing]...when I got home, I brushed my wool and it's wonderful again!" Another customer recently reported that even a seriously matted SnuggleWool pad became fluffy again when treated with inexpensive hair conditioner and gentle brushing.
